The 1964 Spruce Green Mini Moke “Car 150”:
A Personal Touch with Performance Upgrades
This 1964 Mini Moke is a true testament to the owner’s personal style and passion for performance. One of the earliest models in the series, it carries a rich history, with the owner having kept the iconic Catalina bonnet as a memento—one that has traveled with several of his Mokes over the years.
While the exterior remains faithful to its original spruce green colour, the car underwent a series of thoughtful upgrades to enhance its performance. It features delicious split-rim alloy wheels, lowered suspension, and a highly modified 1275 engine, giving it the heart of a modern classic while retaining the look of a standard Moke. The straight three exhaust system adds an unmistakable sound, further elevating the driving experience.
Despite the performance enhancements, the Moke’s design remains grounded in its heritage, with original-style Britax seat belts and other vintage details that keep it looking classic. The Moke’s transformation was both a labour of love and a nod to the owner’s dedication to blending nostalgia with a passion for customisation.
This is more than just a restored vehicle—it’s a reflection of the owner’s journey with Mokes and his desire to create something uniquely his.
